Essay on Jeffersons Actions During His Presidency
In the year of 1800, Jefferson ran for the second time averse to former president, John Adams but unlike the previous election, John Adams wins the presidency, Jefferson was able to defeat John Adams. The Adams lost the election due to passing the Alien and Sedition Acts, Considered unconstitutional laws because the Acts took away the first amendment, freedom of speech. Jefferson had no desire to become involved in the wars and p assed the Embargo Act prohibiting trade with European countries believing it would make both countries stop pressuring the United States. This would make the United States move towards an agrarian economy as trading would almost become useless as Europeanââ¬â¢s countries were the only ones to trade with the United States. Jefferson presidency having helped the average man especially farmers would not Continue as he would make choices that would oppose the ideals that his presidency had promised. Jefferson having helped the average farmer did so at certain at the price of losing his original ideals of his presidency. As Jefferson had made the Louisiana Purchase he made the national debt of the United States increase; Jefferson had promised to decrease the debt during his presidency but instead increased it through his purchase. Jefferson also failed to follow his own strict interpretation of the Constitution, as there was no statement of whether Jefferson had the power to make p urchases for the United States and did not even consult Congress about his decision. Jefferson had increased the executive power he was given by making a purchase without any consultation with Congress and therefore increased the power of the Federal Government. Constructions License Verb Frames â⬠Free Samples to Students
Question: Discuss about the Constructions License Verb Frames. Answer: Introduction: This essay has discussed the grammatical, morphological and lexeme errors made in the given text. Here the writer has used ample of exaggerative words which do not really have any implication in the meaning of the sentence. The pattern of writing is quite satisfying because the writer has introduced different information for this particular argument. However, in this text there has been a lot of mistake in the sentence structures. There are some morphological mistakes where the writer has not used proper form of a lexeme with proper prefix or suffix. In most of the cases the writer has used compound sentence with different types of linkers but not all of those conjunctions have appropriateness in their usage. Present tense is the most observed tense in this text but the writer has used incorrect voice often. The use of words by the writer captures his weak vocabulary hence he has used same words a twice in one sentence. From the beginning of the paragraph the writer has used present tense. The entire piece is dominated by the excessive use of present tense which is often incorrect (Rochemont, 2014). In the first line, the writer has talked about nuclear power which is in singular form. The word nuclear power is a proper noun but at the end the writer has made use of common noun sources which needed to be in singular. On the other hand, if the writer wanted to demonstrate that the nuclear power is an example of cheap energy source, he must have used different verb instead of provides because this particular verb does not have any connection with amplification of a noun. In the second line, the use of word, sometimes is inappropriate as it is not matching the real phenomena of energy misbalance on the earth. Instead of sometimes, the writer may have used in the near future; or one day to denote the intensity of the situation. The vocabulary of the writer seems to be poor or he does not have much knowledge about the difference between the natural components of energy or the sources of energy. This writer has termed oil and gas to be the sources of energy but these actually are components of energy production. In academic writing, the writers are not allowed to use etc. because it is not an acceptable word while writing an argumentative text. Instead of using etc. the writer would have used and so forth or and others of the same kind. In the topic sentence where the writer has stated that he will be discussing the arguments to support nuclear power, he has missed a very essential preposition. After the word favour, there has to be a preposition of without which the sentence has no meaning. In the next line the writer has used a passive voice where the structure is completely different from what he has written. Grammatically, in a passive voice, the subject is followed by a be or an auxiliary verb such as am or is or are in present which can be changed according to the required change (Sweet, 2014). Here the subject is the nuclear energy and the tense is used in present. This is the reason why the phrase nuclear energy should be followed by verb is. After the auxiliary verb, there has to be a verb in its past participle form. According to this rule, the word provides will be provided. Finally, the conjunction by should be replaced with, with as chemical materials are non-living agents (Frodesen, 2018). In the next sentence the writer has used a comparative degree but the sentence seems to be incomplete. The writer in this sentence has perfectly used the degree with proper preposition than but has missed out the word sources at the end. In the following sentence, there is a need of punctuation after the word power. There must be a comma as this portion has served as a phrase. The complete sentence is full of syntax errors as well as grammatical mistakes. The word it is a singular subject which needs a singular verb which means the verb right after it needs to carry -s or -es (Burns Borg, 2015). Therefore, the verb involve should carry an s with it. The subject it, itself is confusing in this sentence because it is not clear whether the writer has tried to denote nuclear energy or other sources through it. The phrase some expert people is an example of pleonasm where the writer has used too many words to express one response. In the same sentence, the writer has used the word where which does not have any meaning. Here the linker is wrongly put and meaningless unless added with as. In this sentence the writer has made a confusing remark with the use of the word energy because here he must have used the phrase from other sources after energy in order to complete the meaning. After the word energy there need to be a punctuation especially a comma otherwise the sentence seems to be baffling to the readers. In the same sentence the writer has used one singular noun with another plural one such as worker, machineries (Larsen-Freeman, 2015). The worker here has a singular connotation which is not at all appropriate. The next sentence has started with And which is a linker or conjunction an cannot be used in the beginning of the sentence. The next sentence is in passive voice and in same way the writer has not used the correct format or structure of sentence (Collins Hollo, 2016). First of all, the word wellprotected is a hyphenated word. Secondly, this word is in past participle which is exactly required in a passive voice but the nest verb that the writer has used, monitor needs to in part perfect form as well. The sentence, That is why there is less possibilities, seems to be incomplete. There is no hint of possibilities as the writer did not have mentioned any type of possibilities in his previous sentence. Hence the readers must be confused thinking which the possibilities are that the writer has talked about. On the other hand, the writer has used is in one hand and used plural noun as possibilities. Here this is should be are or the writer can use singular noun if necessary (Palmer, 2014) . As it is an argumentative piece, and the writer is arguing on the support of nuclear power, he cannot support weapon for maintaining peace in the world because threat is not a mechanism used in maintaining world peace. In this same sentence, there is a typographical error where the writer has used the word the twice. Moreover, according to English grammar, before, U.K and U.S.A, there must be an article the. This has two specific reasons. Firstly, the countries which consist the words states, republic, kingdom, federation with their names, article the is used (Michaelis, 2015).Secondly, thecountries like the United Kingdom and the United States of America carry the definite article the because they are compound nouns with adjectives. The bracketed word warhead has special meaning that denotes, warhead is the explosives or the toxic materials which are delivered by a rocket, missile or torpedo but the writer has used this term as an adjective of countries. In the next line, there is an error associated with subject-verb agreement. Usually, the words like every, each, one, everybody, another are singular subjects hence all of these subjects carry singular verb (Larsen-Freeman, 2015). This is the reason, the phrase, each country will be preceded by the verb does not do. In this context the writer has wanted to convey the message that those countries which he has mentioned as warhead do not threat other countries weak in nuclear power. The use of the word give is another example of pleonasm and it is another wrongly placed word. The last country must have a pluralistic effect so that the idea of the writer can be read by the readers clearly. The next sentence has been started with because which is a completely wrong format. In this particular sentence the writer has tried to use a complex sentence. Moreover, it has demonstrated a conditional aspect where the powerful countries may create problem then other countries will not remain silent and the situation will be devastating. In order to convey this message, the writer has used a hypothetical present and predicted a probable and problematic future. For constructing a conditional sentence, he has used if and then perfectly but the writer has mistaken in putting the singular verb after a singular subject. He has used the verb disturb, whereas it will be disturbs. Secondly, according to the rules of grammar, the word, one should be followed by another as the word each is followed by other. Another is a singular word hence cannot have a plural use. Towards the end of this sentence, the writer has used the preposition from which is hampering the meaning of the sentence. Wrong use of preposition changes the meaning hence from will be replaced with for. Again the next sentence has been begun with a conjunction by the writer. The word So has five types of usage. It can be an adviser, conjunction, pronoun, adjective and interjection. Among all these, in case of interjection only, so can be used in the beginning of the sentence. For example, Solook whos here! For other parts of speech, it must be used in the middle of a sentence or used as a linker in a complex or compound sentence (Collins Hollo, 2016). In the same sentence, the write has used a compound adjective well-balanced but it is not hyphenated. This sentence is a compound sentence where the focus of the first pronoun is not clear. By using it, the writer did not clearly denote the noun instead of which, he used this particular pronoun. The first clause is in passive therefore the second one should also be in passive. This is because a compound sentence consists of two or more independent clauses. Each of these clauses has equal status thus provides equally important information. Therefore, the entire clause after the linker and should be in passi ve voice. world peace is a specific thing, hence need to be preceded by a specific article. The word peace in the same line seems to be repetitive which clearly reveals that the writer has a weak vocabulary. As a counter argument, the writer has supported the fact that the nuclear technology often creates problem. Here the author again has used a subordinating adverb though in the beginning of the sentence. Here the writer has tried to use a passive voice but the syntax of this sentence is wrong. He has used two linkers in one sentence and used the word sometimes more than once. In the initial part of the sentence, the writer has used a plural subject followed by are but again used a singular verb creates. Bother the words sometimes and creates have no need in this sentence. Towards the second part, he has used the pronoun it should have been followed by a singular verb, carrying -s or es (Frodesen, 2018). In this same sentence, the writer has made a typographical error where is should be replaced by a preposition in. At the last part of this sentence, where the writer has mentioned about the medical and engineering sectors, the common noun field must have been in plural form because it is denoting two categories. The next sentence the writer has a reflective form and used same subject back to back. After the word filed there has to be a comma. The phrase we can say is an example of pleonasm because this phrase here has no such import use. However, after the word say, the writer is explaining the reason therefore, he must have used that. That again can be used in five ways but here this particular word will be used to introduce a clause that is the subject or object of a verb (Frodesen, 2018). In the next sentence, there will be a comma after the word hand and one after the word engineering. In this particular sentence, the writer has used a lot of short phrases but missed the needed and appropriate punctuations. Here these commas are used to define the introductory phrases hence there will be again a comma after the power. The word engineers is a name of specific profession hence should be preceded by the. Morphological error can be seen in the word operate. According to the English grammar r ules, the verb can be used as nouns. Here the word operate has been used as an example of a name of a verb thus a noun. Hence this verb will carry a suffix -ing and will follow the rules of gerund. Gerundsare formed by adding -ing to the verb but they are actually verb formsused asnouns. The word instead is a conjunctive adverb which denotes a sense of alternative between the words preceding and following. In this sentence, the writer has not talked about any alternative rater he could have introduced a verb, for example, instead of using electricity. In the final sentence, there will be that after the word say. In the initial part, the writer has used a plural form after the word some but towards the end, he has used plural after some. Therefore, it can be stated that by removing these mistakes and learning about them more intensely the writer of this piece will be able to know subtle rules of linguistics which will make his writings more effective and acceptable to his readers. Despite the fact that there are a great number of syntax errors and grammatical mistakes, these can be easily avoided if checked after writing. References: Burns, A., Borg, S. (2015). Modern Female Infanticide in Asia
Modern Female Infanticide in Asia In China and India alone, an estimated 2,000,000 baby girls go missing each year. They are selectively aborted, killed as newborns, or abandoned and left to die. Neighboring countries with similar cultural traditions, such as South Korea and Nepal, have also faced this problem.à What are the traditions that lead to this massacre of baby girls? What modern laws and policies have addressed or exacerbated the problem? The root causes of female infanticide are similar but not exactly the same in Confucian countries like China and South Korea, versus predominantly Hindu countries such as India and Nepal. India and Nepal According to Hindu tradition, women are lower incarnations than men of the same caste. A woman cannot obtain release (moksha) from the cycle of death and rebirth. On a more practical day-to-day level, women traditionally could not inherit property or carry on the family name. Sons were expected to take care of their elderly parents in return for inheriting the family farm or shop. Daughters drained the family of resourcesà because they had to have an expensive dowry to get married; a son, of course, would bring dowry wealth into the family. A womans social status was so dependent on that of her husband that if he died and left her a widow, she was often expected to commit sati rather than going back to her birth family. As a result of these beliefs, parents had a strong preference for sons. A baby girl was seen as a robber, who would cost the family money to raise, and who then would take her dowry and go to a new family when she got married. For centuries, sons were given more food in times of scarcity, better medical care, and more parental attention and affection. If a family felt like they had too many daughters already, and another girl was born, they might smother her with a damp cloth, strangle her, or leave her outside to die. In recent years, advances in medical technology have made the problem much worse. Instead of waiting nine months to see which gender the baby would be, families today have access to ultrasounds that can tell them the childs gender just four months into the pregnancy. Many families who want a son will abort a female fetus. Sex determination tests are illegal in India, but doctors routinely accept bribes to carry out the procedure, and such cases are almost never prosecuted. The results of gender-selective abortion have been stark. The normal sex ratio at birth is about 105 males for each 100 femalesà because girls naturally survive to adulthood more often than boys. Today, for each 105 boys born in India, only 97 girls are born. In the most skewed district of Punjab, the ratio is 105 boys to 79 girls. Although these numbers dont look too alarming, in a country as populous as India, that translates to 37 million more men than women as of 2014. This imbalance has contributed to a rapid rise in horrific crimes against women. It seems logical that where women are a rare commodity, they would be treasured and treated with great respect. However, what happens in practice is that men commit more acts of violence against women where the gender balance is skewed. In recent years, women in India have faced increasing threats of rape, gang rape, and murder, in addition to domestic abuse from their husbands or their parents-in-law. Some women are killed for failing to produce sons, perpetuating the cycle. Sadly, this problem seems to be growing more common in Nepal, as well. Many women there cannot afford an ultrasound to determine the sex of their fetuses, so they kill or abandon baby girls after they are born. The reasons for the recent increase in female infanticide in Nepal are not clear. China and South Korea In China and South Korea, peoples behavior and attitudes today are still shaped to a large degree by the teachings of Confucius, an ancient Chinese sage. Among his teachings were the ideas that men are superior to women, and that sons have a duty to take care of their parents when the parents grow too old to work.à Girls, in contrast, were seen as a burden to raise, just as they were in India. They could not carry on the family name or blood-line, inherit the family property, or perform as much manual labor on the family farm. When a girl married, she was lost to a new family, and in centuries past, her birth parents might never see her again if she moved to a different village to marry. Unlike India, however, Chinese women do not have to provide a dowry when they marry. This makes the financial cost of raising a girl less onerous. However, the Chinese governments One Child Policy, enacted in 1979, has led to gender imbalance similar to Indias. Faced with the prospect of only having a single child, most parents in China preferred to have a son. As a result, they would abort, kill, or abandon baby girls. To help alleviate the problem, the Chinese government altered the policy to allow parents to have a second child if the first one was a girl, but many parents still do not want to bear the expense of raising and educating two children, so they will get rid of girl babies until they get a boy. In parts of China today, there are 140 men for every 100 women. The lack of brides for all of those extra men means that they cannot have children and carry on their families names, leaving them as barren branches. Some families resort to kidnapping girls in order to marry them to their sons. Others import brides from Vietnam, Cambodia, and other Asian nations. In South Korea, too, the current number of marriage-age men is much larger than the available women. This is because, in the 1990s, South Korea had the worst gender-at-birth imbalance in the world. Parents still clung to their traditional beliefs about the ideal family, even as the economy grew explosively and people grew wealthy. In addition, educating children about the sky-high standards common in Korea is very expensive. As a result of growing wealth, most families had access to ultrasounds and abortions, and the nation as a whole saw 120 boys being born for every 100 girls throughout the 1990s. As in China, some South Korean men today are bringing brides in from other Asian countries. However, it is a difficult adjustment for these women, who usually dont speak Korean and dont understand the expectations that will be placed on them in a Korean family - particularly the enormous expectations around their childrens education. Yet South Korea is a success story. In just a couple of decades, the gender-at-birth ratio has normalized at about 105 boys per 100 girls. This is mostly a result of changing social norms. Couples in South Korea have realized that women today have more opportunities to earn money and gain prominence - the current prime minister is a woman, for example. As capitalism booms, some sons have abandoned the custom of living with and caring for their elderly parents, who are now more likely to turn to their daughters for old-age care. Daughters are growing ever more valuable. There are still families in South Korea with, for example, a 19-year-old daughter and a 7-year-old son. The implication of these bookend families is that several other daughters were aborted in between. But the South Korean experience shows that improvements in the social status and earning potential of women can have a profoundly positive effect on the birth ratio. It can actually prevent female infanticide.

Carrefours Exit from Japan Case Study Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words
Carrefours Exit from Japan - Case Study Example It is evidently clear from the discussion that one of Carrefour's criteria for entering a new market is that small-scale rationalization and reorganization were not in effect and that large-scale chain supermarkets were absent from the market. However, at the time of entry, Japan already had large-scale special discount stores for clothing, electrical appliances or furniture. With strong competitors in the market, it would have been difficult for Carrefour to establish a strong entry presence. When Carrefour entered the Japanese market, the real estate prices were high. Carrefour's global store strategy of obtaining a large amount of floor space at a low price to provide wider space, free parking and one-stop shopping options for its customers did not meet its objective. Another Carrefour marketing criteria were to offer fresh products at very low prices and with high-value additions and an array of choices. After entering the market, the company followed its basic strategy of purcha sing directly from the producers to keep buying costs low. However, the concept of "Everyday Low Prices" was not feasible in Japan as the customers were accustomed to frequent shopping and buying goods in smaller quantities to because of space restraints at home. Also, the Japanese were also very quality and fashion conscious and low pricing products did not convey that message.

Education. Business degree Research Paper Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 2500 words
Education. Business degree - Research Paper Example Furthermore, the primary goal of education is to enable one make wise decisions through facilitating and boosting the reasoning of an individual. Moreover, in the current dynamic world education has been used as a tool of earning a living. On a similar theme, education has enabled individuals to specialise in the various diverse fields available in the market for example individuals who specialise in medicine are able to treat people and in turn have been able to earn revenue that serves to improve the living standards. On the other hand, another essential goal that education is purposed to serve is to improve the lives of individuals. Apparently, education has been able to facilitate further research in various fields for instance agriculture which has consequently, led to increase in food production while simultaneously observing quality standards of the yields. On that note, in the field of business education has served to improve the quality of service delivery through the innova tion of machines which improve the efficiency of the work. Furthermore, through education we are able to acknowledge the various business strategies and evaluate on the most appropriate one to employ in the various diverse businesses having different requirements. Moreover, education has also provided a means in which business structures can be comprehensively studied in a bid to expand the various business activities that exist in this dynamic world that is characterised with rapidly changing environment. However, in this paper we focus mainly on the higher education in the field of business. In addition to that, we are going to highlight some of the ways one can acquire a business degree, its advantages and its application to the current business endeavours. First and foremost, a business degree can acquire in a number of ways depending on the specific user needs. On a similar theme, the choice of the manner of study may vary with a number of factors, for instance the issue of geo graphical location of the individual with respect to the institution of learning. On that note, individuals who live far from the educational institution may consider studying online as way of acquiring a business degree. In addition to that, individuals who use this form of studying employ the use of computers; internet to acquire the required educational material for example books and other relevant literature and study online. On the contrary, another important factor that influences the manner in which one can acquire a business degree is the occupation of an individual. Apparently, individuals who have hectic schedules during the day may consider part time schooling as opposed full time since it may not interfere with the daily activities of an individual. In addition to that, this mode of studying entails evening classes and may take a longer period to acquire a business degree as compared to the full time mode of studying since in full time studying, an individual is subjecte d to longer studying hours as compared to the part time mode who may at time study during the weekends only. On the contrary, the duration of acquiring a business degree may vary depending on a number of factors for instance the mode of study of an individual. On the same note, individuals who use the full time mode of study may take a minimum of three years to attain a business degree. In addition to that, individuals who use the part time mode of studying may require a minimum of four to five years in order to achieve this important business degree. However, individuals using this form of studying may in other cases take longer to acquire this degree since some may decide to defer their studies in a bid to

Film analysis Movie Review Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1000 words
Film analysis - Movie Review Example Sideways and How This Movie Demonstrates the Social Psychological Principle of Social Perception Social perception is a social psychological principle, and this is how we understand others. This includes the kinds of impression that we have of others, and includes how we read people, deciding why people act as they do, and how we view our social world. Impressions is a part of this, and this is how people read others. In this case, there is a scene where Miles clearly is not reading Maya very well. He assumed that she was not interested in him, and he also assumed that she was married, neither of which was true. This might be attributed to a negative schema that Miles has created for himself ââ¬â he has assumed that any woman, especially an attractive woman, would not be interested in him, because he sees himself as a failure. His schema may come from the fact that he was left by his wife, and his wife was set to marry a more successful man. Therefore, Miles assumes that, in a so cial situation involving a woman, a woman will not be interested in him, because his set schema would tell him that this is true. ... Miles soon knew that she was not married, therefore she could be interested in him, and she invited him out, and got close to him, and wanted him to kiss her, yet he did not. He would accept information that would fit into his schema, which was that she was not interested in him, and would reject information that would not fit into his schema, which would be her actions showing that she was interested in him. Therefore, if there was anything that Maya did which could possibly be interpreted that she was not interested in him, then Miles would take that small action and use it to confirm his schema. The opposite would be true for any actions that showed that she was interested in him. When Maya did finally dump him, because he did not tell her about Jackââ¬â¢s engagement, this was confirmation that his original schema was correct, as this assimilated into his world view. However, by the end of the film, there was evidence that Miles have finally rejected his schema, as she called h im and he immediately drove up to go to her house. Miles had finally rejected his own schema long enough to find love with Maya. Jack, on the other hand, appears to have an opposite schema regarding women. He has organized cognitions regarding the behavior of women, and women apparently have fallen all over him in the past, probably because of his status as an actor. Therefore, Jack has confidence in his abilities to find a woman to have sex with, because woman have traditionally been easy for him. This is indeed the way it happens, as Steph fell into bed with him very easily, and Steph is an attractive, intelligent woman. The waitress was the same way, although the waitress was not attractive. However, the waitress fawned

Calculations of the Spin Structure of Trimer Cr3
Calculations of the Spin Structure of Trimer Cr3 Calculation of Magnetic Properties by Generalized Spin Hamiltonian and Generationà of Global Entanglement: Cr Trimer in molecule and on surface Oleg V. Stepanyuk2, Oleg V. Farberovich1 1 Raymond and Bekerly Sackler Faculty of Exact Sciences,à School of Physics and Astronomy, Tel-Aviv University, Tel-Aviv 69978, Israel 2 Max Planck Institute of Microstructure Physics, Halle, Germany Here we present the results of the first-principles calculations of the spin structure of trimer Cr3à with the use of a density-functional scheme allowing for the non-collinear spin configurations inà [1]. Using the results of these calculations we determine the Heisenberg-Dirac-Van Vleck (HDVV)à Hamiltonian with anisotropic exchange couplings parameters linking the Cr ions with predominantà spin density. The energy pattern was found from the effective HDVV Hamiltonian acting in theà restricted spin space of the Cr ions by the application of the irreducible tensor operators (ITO)à technique. Comparison of the energy pattern with that obtained with the anisotropic exchangeà models conventionally used for the analysis of this system and with the results of non-collinearà spin structure calculations show that our complex investigations provides a good description of theà pattern of the spin levels and spin structures of the nanomagnetic trimer Cr3. The results areà discussed in the view of a general problem of spin frustration related to the orbital degeneracy ofà the antiferromagnetic ground state.à PACS numbers: I. INTRODUCTION Information technologies provide very interesting challengesà and an extremely wide playground in which scientistsà working in materials science, chemistry, physics andà nano-fabrication technologies may find stimuli for novelà ideas. Curiously, the nanometre scale is the molecularà scale. So we may wonder whether, how or simply whichà functional molecules can be regarded in some ways asà possible components of nanodevices. The goal is ambitious: it is not just a matter to store information in a 3dmetalà trimer on a non-magnetic substrate, but we mayà think to process information with a trimer and then toà communicate information at the supramolecules containgà from magnetic 3d-metal trimer on a surface. Spins are alternative complementary to charges as degreesà of freedom to encode information. Recent examples,à like for instance the discovery and application of Giantà magnetoresistance in Spintronics, have demonstratedà the efficient use of spins for information technologies. Moreover, spins are intrinsically quantum entities andà they have therefore been widely investigated in the fieldà of quantum-information processing. Molecular nanomagnetsà are real examples of finite spin chains (1D) or clustersà (0D), and therefore they constitute a new benchmarkà for testing models of interacting quantum objects. New physics of molecular magnets feeds hopes of certainà prospective applications, and such hopes pose theà problem of understanding, improving, or predicting desirableà characteristics of these materials. The applicationsà which come into discussion are, for instance, magneticà storage (one molecule would store one bit, withà much higher information storage density than accessibleà with microdomains of present-day storage media or magneticà nanoparticles of next future). In order to exploità the quantum features for information processing, molecularà spin clusters have to fulfil some basic requirements. Magnetic transition metal nanostructures on nonmagneticà substrates have attracted recently large attentionà due to their novel and unusual magnetic properties[2,3]. The supported clusters experience both theà reduction of the local coordination number, as in freeà clusters, as well as the interactions with the electronicà degrees of freedom of the substrate, as in embedded clusters.à The complex magnetic behavior is usually associatedà with the competition of several interactions, suchà as interatomic exchange and bonding interactions, andà in some cases noncollinear effects, which can give rise toà several metastable states close in energy. The groundà state can therefore be easily tuned by external actionà giving rise to the switching between different states. In recent years, entanglement has attracted the attentionà of many physicists working in the area of quantumà mechanics [1, 2]. This is due to the ongoing research inà the area of quantum information [3]. Theoretical studiesà are also important in the context of spin interactionsà inside two structured reservoirs [9] such as single magneticà molecule (SMM) and metal cluster on nonmagneticà surface. Cr is unique among the transition-metalà adatoms, because its half-filled valence configurationà (3d54s1) yields both a large magnetic moment and strongà interatomic bonding leading to magnetic frustration. Weà apply our method to Cr trimers deposited on a Au(111)à surface and the trinuclear hydroxo-bridged chromiumà ammine complex [Cr3(NH3)10(OH)4]Br5 à · 3H2O. Low-lying excited states of a magnetic system are generallyà described in terms of a general spin-Hamiltonian. For a magnetic system with many spin sites, this phenomenologicalà Hamiltonian is written as a sum of pairwiseà spin exchange interactions between adjacent spinà sites in molecule and surface. In the present work we study entanglement betweenà the spin states in the spin spectrum. In our model, aà spin state interact with a continuum of the spin structureà at interval temperature 0 ââ¬â 300 K, and entanglementà properties between the spin states in spin structure areà considered. Using global entanglement as a measure ofà entanglement, we derive a pair of distributions that canà be interpreted as densities of entanglement in terms ofà all the eigenvalue of the spin spectrum. This distributionà can be calculated in terms of the spectrum of spin excitationà of cluster surface and supramolecule. With theseà new measures of entanglement we can study in detailà entanglement between the spin modes in spin structure. The method developed here, in terms of entanglementà distributions, can also be used when considering variousà types of structured reservoirs [..]. II. THE THEORETICAL APPROACH In order to give a theoretical description of magneticà dimer we exploit the irreducible tensor operator (ITO)à technique [ITO]. Let us consider a spin cluster of arbitraryà topology formed from an arbitrary number of magneticà sites, N, with local spins S1, S2,, SN which, inà general, can have different values. A successive spin couplingà scheme is adopted: S1 + S2 = SÃÅ"2, SÃÅ"2 + S3 = SÃÅ"3, , SNÃÅ"à ´Ã¢â ¬Ã¢â ¬Ã¢â ¬1 + SN = S, where ÃÅ" S represents the complete set of intermediate spinà quantum numbers SÃÅ"k, with k=1,2,,N-1.The eigenstatesà | và ¢Ã

¸Ã © can be evaluated onceà the spin-Hamiltonian of the system has been diagonalized. Since each term of spin-Hamiltonian can be rewrittenà as a combination of the irreducible tensor operatorsà technique[ITO].In [ITO] work focus on the main physicalà interactions which determine the spin-Hamiltonian andà to rewrite them in terms of the ITOââ¬â¢s. The exchangeà part of the spin-Hamiltonian is to introduced: Hspin = H0 + HBQ + HAS + HAN. (2) The first term H0 is the Heisenberg-Dirac Hamiltonian,à which represents the isotropic exchange interaction, HBQà is the biquadratic exchange Hamiltonian, HAS is the antisymmetricà exchange Hamiltonian, and HAN representsà the anisotropic exchange interaction. Conventionally,à they can be expressed as follows [ITO]: H0 = âËâ2 à £ i;f Jif bSi bSf (3) HBQ = âËâ à £ i;f jif ( bSi bSf )2 (4) HAS = à £ i;f Gif [ bSi Ãâ" bSf ] (5) HAN = âËâ2 à £ i;f à £ _ J_ if bS_ i bS_ f (6) with à ± = x, y, z We can add to the exchange Hamiltonianà the term due to the axial single-ion anisotropy: HZF = à £ i Di bSz(i)2 (7) where Jif and J_à if are the parameters of the isotropic andà anisotropic exchange iterations, jif are the coefficients ofà the biquadratic exchange iterations, and Gif=-Gfi is theà vector of the antisymmetric exchange. The terms of theà spin-Hamiltonian above can be written in terms of theà ITOââ¬â¢s. Both the Heisenbergââ¬âDirac and biquadratic exchangeà are isotropic interactions. In fact, the correspondingà Hamiltonians can be described by rank-0 tensor operatorsà and thus have non zero matrix elements onlyà with states with the same total spin quantum numberà S (ÃâS,ÃâM=0). The representative matrix can be decomposedà into blocks depending only on the value of Sà and M. All anisotropic terms are described by rank-2à tensor operators which have non zero matrix elementsà between state with ÃâS=0,à ±1,à ±2 and their matrices canà not be decomposed into blocks depending only on totalà spin S in account of the Sââ¬âmixing between spin statesà with different S. The single-ion anisotropy can be writtenà in terms of rank-2 single site ITOââ¬â¢s [ITO]. Finally,à the antisymmetric exchange term is the sum of ITOââ¬â¢s ofà rank-1. The ITO technique has been used to design the MAGPACKà software [ITO1], a package to calculate the energyà levels, bulk magnetic properties, and inelastic neutronà scattering spectra of high nuclearity spin clusters thatà allows studying efficiently properties of nanoscopic magnets. A. Calculation of the magnetic properties Once we have the energy levels, we can evaluate differentà thermodynamic properties of the system as magnetization,à magnetic susceptibility, and magnetic specificà heat. Because anisotropic interactions are not included,à the magnetic properties of the anisotropic system do notà depend on the direction of the magnetic field. For thisà reason one can consider the magnetic field directed alongà arbitrary axis Z of the molecular coordinate frame thatà is chosen as a spin quantization axis. In this case theà energies of the system will be à à µ_(Ms)+geà ²MsHZ, whereà à à µ_(Ms) are the eigenvalues of the Hamiltonian containingà magnetic exchange and double exchange contributionsà (index à ¼ runs over the energy levels with given totalà spin protection Ms). Then the partition function in theà presence of the external magnetic field is given by: Z(HZ) = à £ Ms;_ exp[âËâà à µ_(Ms)/kT] à £ Ms exp[âËâgeà ²MsHZ/kT] (8) Using this expression one can evaluate the magnetic susceptibilityà Ãâ¡ and magnetization M by standart thermodinamicalà definitions: Ãâ¡ = ( âËâM âËâH ) H!0 (9) M(H) = NkT âËâlnZ âËâH (10) B. Entanglement in N-spin system Entanglement has gained renewed interest with the developmentà of quantum information science. The problemà of measuring entanglement is a vast and lively field of researchà in its own. In this section we attempt to solve theà problem of measuring entanglement in the N-spin clusterà and supramolecules systems. Based on the residualà entanglement [9] (Phys. Rev. A 71, 044301 (2005)), weà present the global entanglement for a N-spin state for theà collective measures of multiparticle entanglement. Thisà measures introduced by Meyer andWallach[..]. The MeyerWallachà (MW) measure written in the Brennen form (G.K.Brennen,Quantum.Inf.Comp.,v.3,619 (2003)) is: Q(ÃË) = 2(1 âËâ 1 N à £N k=1 Tr[à 2 k]) (11) where à k is the reduced density matrix for k-th qubit.à The problem of entanglement between a spin states inà N-spin systems is becoming more interesting when consideringà clusters or molecules with a spectral gap in theirà densities of states. For quantifying the distribution ofà entanglement between the individual spin eigenvalues inà spin structure of N-spin system we use the density of entanglement. The density of entanglement à µ(à à µ_, à à µ_, à à µ)dà à µ gives the entanglement between the spin eigenvalue à à µ_ and spin eigenvalue à à µ_ with in an energy interval à à µ_ to à à µ_ + dà à µ_. One can show that entanglement distribution can beà written in terms of spectrum of spin exitation S(à à µ_, à à µ) = |c_|2 à ´(à à µ âËâ à à µ_) (12) and à µ(à à µ_, à à µ_, à à µ) = 2S(à à µ_, à à µ)S(à à µ_, à à µ) (13) where coefficient c_ = à ¢Ã
¸Ã ¨( ÃÅ" S)SM | và ¢Ã
¸Ã © is eigenvector of theà spin-Hamiltonian of the cluster or supramolecule. Thus,à entanglement distributions can be derived from the excitationà spin spectrum Q(à à µ) = 1âËâ 2Ãâ2 Ãâ¬2N à £N _=1 |c_|2 (à à µ âËâ à à µ_)2 + Ãâ2 à £N _=_+1 |c_|2 (à à µ âËâ à à µ_)2 + Ãâ2 (14) Though the very nature of entanglement is purelyà quantum mechanical, we saw that it can persist forà macroscopic systems and will survive even in the thermodynamicalà limit. In this section we discuss how ità behaves at finite temperature of thermal entanglement. The states in N-spin system describing a system in thermalà equilibrium states, are determined by the Generalizedà spin-Hamiltonian and thermal density matrix à (T) = exp(âËâHspin/kT) Z(HZ) (15) where Z(HZ) is the partition function of the N-spin system. The thermal entanglement is Q(à à µ, T,HZ) = 1 âËâ 2Ãâ2 Ãâ¬2NZ(HZ)2 à £N _=1 |c_|2 exp[âËâà à µ_/kT] (à à µ âËâ à à µ_)2 + Ãâ2 Ãâ" (16) à £N _=_+1 |c_|2 exp[âËâà à µ_/kT] (à à µ âËâ à à µ_)2 + Ãâ2 The demonstration of quantum entanglement, however,à can also be directly derived from experiments, withoutà requiring knowledge of the system state. This can beà done by using specific operatorsââ¬âthe so-called entanglementà witnessesââ¬âwhose expectation value is always positiveà if the state à is factorizable. It is quite remarkableà that some of these entanglement witnesses coincideà with well-known magnetic observables, such as energyà or magnetic susceptibility Ãâ¡ = dM/dB. In particular,à the magnetic susceptibility of N spins s, averaged overà three orthogonal spatial directions, is always larger thanà a threshold value if their equilibrium state à is factorizable: à £ g Ãâ¡g > Ns/kBT [EW]. This should not be surprising,à since magnetic susceptibility is proportional toà the variance of the magnetization, and thus it may actuallyà quantify spin.spin correlation. The advantage inà the use of this criterion consists in the fact that it doesà not require knowledge of the system Hamiltonian, providedà that this commutes with the Zeeman terms correspondingà to the three orthogonal orientations of theà magnetic field à ± = x, y, z. As already mentioned, inà the case of the Cr3 trimer, the effective Hamiltonian includes,à besides the dominant Heisenberg interaction J Ã¢Ë ¼118 meV , smaller anisotropic terms G Ã¢Ë ¼ 1.1 meV andà D Ã¢Ë ¼ 0.18 meV , due to which the above commutation relationsà are not fulfilled. This might, in principle, result inà differences between the magnetic susceptibility and theà entanglement witness WE (see Fig.). Apparently, theà difference is quite essential and therefore it is necessary to use a formula for global entanglement Q(ÃË) in N-spinà system. 4 10âËâ1 100 101 102 103 0 0.005 0.01 0.015 0.02 0.025 0.03 0.035 0.04 0.045 The calculated difference à ¯Ã¢â¬Å¡Ã ½EW(T)âËâEWa(T)à ¯Ã¢â¬Å¡Ã ½/EW(T)for Cr3 isosceles trimer T(K) à ¯Ã¢â¬Å¡Ã ½EW(T)âËâEWa(T)à ¯Ã¢â¬Å¡Ã ½/EW(T) FIG. 1: (Color online) The calculated difference j EW(T) à ´Ã¢â ¬Ã¢â ¬Ã¢â ¬ EWa(T) j =EW(T) for Cr3 isosceles trimer 0 100 200 300 400 0 2 4 6 0 0.2 0.4 0.6 0.8 1 1.2 Angle(Degrees) The calculated M(H) for Cr3 isosceles trimer H(T) M(à ¯Ãâà ¬B) FIG. 2: (Color online)Magnetization M(H) of the Cr3à isoscales trimer on metal surface as a function of angles from 0 to 360 degree C. Explore proposals of marriage and the representation of married women in Pride and Prejudice :: essays research papers
Explore proposals of marriage and the representation of married women in Pride and Prejudice à à à à à Marriage is the ultimate goal in Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. The book begins with the quote 'It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife', and this sets the tone for all the events that are to follow. It manages to present a miniature version of all that happens over the course of the novel, the entire plot of which is basically concerned with the pursuit of advantageous marriage by both male and female characters. The obsession with socially beneficial marriage in nineteenth-century English society manifests itself here, for although she points out that a single man 'must be in want of a wife,' Austen reveals that the reverse might be more accurate, as almost all of the unmarried female characters are virtually desperate for marriage. à à à à à Married women are represented as foolish, for example Mrs Bennet and Charlotte Lucas/Collins. Mrs Bennet is very much a one-dimensional character, and this might be because she is already married, and her story is therefore of no real interest to Austen, so she does not spend time developing Mrs Bennet as a fully rounded character. However, she does manage to show Mrs. Bennet as a frustratingly irritating character, as she is both noisy and absurd, and her single-minded obsession with seeing her daughters married to rich and eligible bachelors becomes tiresome early on in the novel. More irritatingly, her pursuit of her daughters' well being is usually her undoing, as her attempts tend to fail, due to her lack of social graces, which separate her from the class of men she wishes for her daughters. She shows how utterly preoccupied with marrying her daughters off, regardless of their happiness, in the way that she is pleased with Lydia's marriage to Wickham. It is painfully obvious that Lydia will soon become disillusioned with her hasty marriage, but Mrs Bennet still sees it as 'delightful indeed' 9169). It is very likely that Austen's use of Mrs Bennet's character is only a deliberate device to highlight the necessity of marriage for young women to avoid scandal or scorn and to ensure that they are provided for, and this explains why her character is never developed any more than necessary. Charlotte, however, is still given as much attention after her marriage as she was before, and this is probably because Austen wants to let us as the reader see how her marriage of convenience affects her.

Childhood Obesity Annotated Bib
English 100/009 Annotated bibliography- Child Obesity in America Taras, H. , Potts-Datema, W. (2005) Obesity and student performance at school. Journal of School Health, 75, 291-295. Retrieved October 4, 2005 from EBSCO (8) This Journal talks about obesity among school-aged children and academic outcomes. The authors reviewed published studies investigating obesity, school performance, and rates of student absenteeism. The book is recent (2005) so I feel that the information provided will still be the similar to today.I feel this is relevant to my research as it proves that obesity can cause problems in other important aspects of life. It also provides very satisfying facts that will back my research very well. Okie, Susan. Fed Up! : Winning the War against Childhood Obesity. Washington, D. C: Joseph Henry Press, 2005. Print. This book examines some of the factors contributing to childhood obesity, such as poor diet, lack of exercise, suburban sprawl, and TV, and provides advice on h ow parents can make positive changes. It primarily focuses on these issues within America. It covers a wide variety of topics with the main topic of obesity, which I think I will find beneficial to my research as all these factors contribute. Dalton, Sharron. Our Overweight Children: What Parents, Schools, and Communities Can Do to Control the Fatness Epidemic. Berkeley: University of California Press, 2004. Print. This book looks at what's behind the statistics and diagnoses, and considers what can be done about the major health crisis threatening American children. Dalton begins with the basics: what obesity is, what causes it, and why it matters.Integrating information from scientific and popular sources, she reviews current diet and exercise recommendations for healthy living, comparing these recommendations with everyday realities experienced by American families. I feel this book will be good for all general understanding as it starts basic and then gets more in depth. I believ e this will contribute well to my research as it covers a wide basis and focus on main points that could be causing this epidemic i. e parents. Smith, J C. Understanding Childhood Obesity.Jackson: University Press of Mississippi, 1999. Internet resource. Dr. J Clinton Smith tries to cover nearly every field of obesity research. The book deals with methods of control, the bodyââ¬â¢s physical and chemical makeup, prevention strategies, new treatments and behavior modifications and future research. Again, this will be very beneficial to my research but even more so as it focuses a lot on the psychological side of obesity, where as the others and focusing more on the food itself and the contributing factors. Hills, Andrew P, Neil A.King, and Nuala M. Byrne. Children, Obesity and Exercise: Prevention, Treatment, and Management of Childhood and Adolescent Obesity. London: Routledge, 2007. Print. This book covers 3 major topics of obesity: the prevention, treatment and the management . Even though this not specifically for American children, I feel that it will still be beneficial as obesity is a global epidemic. I believe this will be a good aspect for my research as it covers how obesity in children can be prevented and I feel this is what America needs to know.

9 Types Of Blog Posts That Will Boost Traffic
9 Types Of Blog Posts That Will Boost Traffic You work hard onà every blog post. Word by word, line by line to make your blog posts perfect. You even attach shareable images, break them into digestible paragraphs, and do the best outreach marketing process you can do. But still, sometimes theyà just dont deliver the traffic, shares, and leads you were hoping for. Its simply because your audience doesnt like the blog postsà youre publishing. The solution toà this problem is also simple- just publish the content your audience wants.à You need something that can not only save you time but can also guarantee results. Its time for you to identify the types of blog postsà that will give you results.à The content that gave your competitors an edge over you. The content that made a common person a hugeà influencer inà your niche. Lets exploreà these winning types of blog posts that the big marketing influencers are rocking right now that have helped them getà huge followings and grow their businesses. 1. Publishà Long List Posts To Get Moreà Backlinks No arguments. List posts are the best. And no, Iââ¬â¢m not talking about only list posts; Iââ¬â¢m talking about LONG list posts. These guysà are the ones that: Attract audience attention by their obscure number. Show your expertise. Are immensely actionableà for your audience as they read your content. Are super informative. Are easy to read and scan for theà big takeaways. Not to mention, list posts overwhelm your readers. A lot of folks mayà need to read theseà posts a few times just to learn all of the information you have to provide. In fact, there's a huge market of read-it-later apps like Pocket and Instapaperà because of long posts like these. Without any hesitation, Iââ¬â¢ll admit that I still visit Jon Morrowââ¬â¢s list of 317 power words. Iââ¬â¢m that dull. ;) Copyblogger- one of the most influentialà content marketing blogs- has so many list posts among its popular posts. And they're still regularly publishing them. Here's a headline from Copyblogger. Just take a look at how many shares this long list post is pulling in. Look at Brian Dean, founder of Backlinko, who attracted lots of eye balls through his 9th post called 200 search engine ranking factors. And according to Brian, this post still brings him 10,000ââ¬â15,000 visitors per month, even months after he initially published the thing. Not to mention, the post ranks #2 for term ââ¬Å"ranking factorâ⬠, which is bound to keep that traffic flowing in. Here's how to write a long list post: Find your big idea. Write down as many points as you can. Refine your list to the most important points. Write an emotional headline involving the number (usually odd numbers perform the best). Make it little longerà than any other post you've seen on your idea. Include lots of images and à buttons to entice social shares. Include bonus takeaways in a content upgrade to turn your traffic into subscribers. But, while doing so, make sure not to dilute its quality. For example, Jimmy Daly, editor of Vero Blog, compiled a massive list of 500 tips for this post. But, he preferred quality over quantity and refined the list to 20.à And, the results? That post resulted in getting 300+ links and 2,500+ shares in less than 30 days. Pro Tip: Consider groupings in yourà list posts with proper subheads. It makes your readers curious toà keep them reading. Recommended Reading: The ââ¬ËSkyscraper Techniqueââ¬â¢ May Actually Improve Your Content Marketing How To Get People To ââ¬Å"Readâ⬠Your Blog With Scannable Content 2. Write Research-Backed, Data-Driven Posts To Grow Your Traffic Want to position yourself as an expert? Research can establish you as an authority. Peep Laja, founder of ConversionXL, is one of the best CROs (Conversion Rate Optimizer) out there.à You know why? The guyà positioned himself as an expert withà evidence and data-backed content. So instead of saying ââ¬Å"simple websites are betterâ⬠, he includes evidence and says: In a study by Google in August of 2012, researchers found that not only will users judge websites as beautiful or not within 1/50th ââ¬â 1/20th of a second, but also that ââ¬Å"visually complexâ⬠websites are consistently rated as less beautiful than their simpler counterparts. Hereââ¬â¢s one more example; look at the image below: Looks familiar, right? Indeed, it is. Because Buzzsumo wrote a grand research postà on OkDork. And, after that, it went viral. More importantly, it received 2,228 links. That's kind of a big deal. I know you must be thinking that this kind of research would take months to conduct. Look, I didnââ¬â¢t tell you that yoursà should be as huge as that example. Instead, it can be a result of a simple test. Hereââ¬â¢s an example: Alex, the founder of Groove, wrote a guest post for the Buffer blog. In this post, he shared a result of simple test:à power of story in your blog. And that simple test got 10,000 shares from social media. Or as Alex puts it in his words: Within an hour of the post being published, we had 1,000 new unique visitors. That soon turned into 5,000, and then 10,000, and before long, 20,000. Not to mention, also wrote a guest post for OkDork sharing their headline report. That post was one of several they wrote to understand their audience's interests in writing better headlines. After that was super successful, they repurposedà that same data to build their headline analyzer, which has now contributed 292,995 pageviews and 16,191 new email subscribers. Kudos :-) So how can you write research-backed, data-driven types of blog posts? Find aà helpful, big idea onà something that is never covered. Or you could take Brian Dean's advice and apply the skyscraper technique to your content to outdo anyone else who's already published something similar. Determine how you'll gather the data you need in your post to make it factual and superà actionable. Show why it's important to yourà audience. Add relevant images, graphs, and charts to prove your points. Add your viewpoint to every research point. This is usually where you can include actionable guidance. Lead your post to a strong call-to-action. 3.à Share Your Success Toà Turn Traffic Into Profit Thereââ¬â¢s a trend these days. People are publishing posts that shareà their success. And of course, these posts go viral within just weeks of publishing.à I mean who wouldn't like to read: How We Got 37 Million Hits In 3 Days People go nuts when they see posts like these.à Another reason that success-sharing posts postsà work is because like case studies, they also have a story thatà their audience can relate to, and they follow a step-by-step approach to solve the problem. Here's an interesting example... Alex, founder of Groove, knew that these types of blog posts wereà becoming some of their hits. But like many others, he had no storyà to share with his audience. And as Alex himself put it in his own words: We didnââ¬â¢t have Ten Tips for Building a Successful Business or A Guide To Making Millions; because, we hadnââ¬â¢t lived those stories yet. ...butà he didnââ¬â¢t give up. He noticed the gap and started sharing his ongoing journey to $100,000 in monthlyà revenue. After that, the blog took off. It became one of the must-read blogs for startups. And it didn't stop there- the blog helped him grab endorsements from big influencers like Hiten Shah and Andrew Warner. And now the company's monthly revenue is $186,000. Takeaway: When it comes to marketing, there is nothing like a rule. Try to break every rule and frame your own. Do this yourself: Brainstorm how you're solving some of your own biggest challenges. Connect the dots between your own challenges and the problems your audience faces every day. Write an open, honest, and transparent post about how you're overcoming that challenge to reach your goals. If that post is successful, consider doing what Groove did and dedicate an entire blog to posts on those topics. Break every rule and frame your own.4. Share New Methodsà To Coin New Terms And Stand Out In Search Results Your audience is always looking for new ways to solve their problems. They donââ¬â¢t want to follow the same track because itââ¬â¢s just not giving them success anymore. You need to give them something new thatà can solve their problem- a method that'sà working for you, has already solved your problem, and something different that no one has covered before. Give your audience new method posts to build your authority. #bloggingUnlike success-sharing posts, these types of blog posts will help your audience solve a problem with your new approach. So yes, they work wonders if done properly. Look atà Noah Kaganââ¬â¢s Quant based marketingà as an example. It was a new concept for startups because before it, there was only ââ¬Å"hope-based marketingâ⬠. So, it made his post stand out. After that, Noah wrote many posts explaining the concept more deeply. And, who can forget Brain Deanââ¬â¢s skyscraper technique- it was the only technique thatà guaranteed you results. No doubt, that's why this post is the most popular post on his entire site. Also, before 2010, ââ¬Å"Growth Hackerâ⬠was not even a term, but after Sean Ellis coined it in one of his blog posts with the help of Hiten Shah and Patrick Vlaskovits, it's now a highly reputable position. After that, Andrew Chen introduced it to a much wider audience, calling growth hackerà the new VP of marketing. These types of blog posts are greatà because: They make you look authoritative with innovative ideas. You have your own keyword that will rank you #1 in search results. They tend to go viral on social media. So how can youà write a new method post? Find your unique angle thatà you used to solve a problem- likeà howà Bryan Harris found a new way to drive traffic using his poster boy method. Convert it into a step-by-step solution. Name it something descriptive of what it is, but no one has used before. Think of metaphors. Tell your readers why it's important for them. Share your unique solution with an influencer who canà help you promote it. 5. Includeà Infographics In Your Posts To Get More Shares Infographics get the most social shares of any blog post type. Not only do they get traffic,à they also bring you a lot of inbound links. In fact, KISSmetrics got 41,142 links from 3,741 unique domains by publishing 47 infographics within one year. Pretty cool, right? Meet Mike. Mike runs a New York-based SEO Agency. One of his clients, FCE pest control, wanted more traffic. So, they approached Mike. But, there was a problem:à Pest control. I mean, how boring of a niche is that!?à And, whoââ¬â¢s going to read a pest control blog? But, Mike didnââ¬â¢t give up. Instead, he rolled up his sleeves and made a fascinating infographic. And the results speak for themselves... That infographic got 1,117 social shares, 12 backlinks, and 15% more traffic within two weeks! So you're sold on infographics, but don't haveà aà budget to hire a designer? Don't worry, you can do it yourself using tools like Canva, Easel.ly, andà Infogr.am. Recommended Reading:à How To Design The Best Blog Graphics With Free Tools And Design Theory To maximize your social shares and traffic, make sure to follow these tips: Remember the main message you're communicatingà as you choose your typography, colors, and layout. Just like a good blog post starts with a blog outline, plan what you want to visualize in your infographic to provide factual and actionable information. Find the big ideas in your infographic, and figure out how you'll draw attention to specific elements. Remove the clutter to provide focus. Practice the fiveà fundamentals of good design: consistency, repetition, alignment, hierarchy, and proximity. Email it to the influencers in your niche, and distribute it to infographic sites like Visual.ly. Pro Tip: Add an "embed this infographic on your site" boxà below your infographic. Unquestionably, it's one ofà the best ways to promote your infographic and get a handful of high quality links. You can use this embed code generator to do this really quickly. Gather Expert Adviceà For Round-Up Posts To Stealà Their Audience When I was starting out, I wasà getting the same advice over and over again: Interview a big nameà in your niche. It willà give you a lot of visitors and subscribers. But, you know what, no influencer wanted toà interview with me. Because I was nobody to them. They weren't getting any value out of it. Yet, thereââ¬â¢s also another thing that gives you exposure like interviews: Itââ¬â¢s called expertà round-up posts. And the best part?à Lots ofà influencers want to join inà because they also want to see their name alongside other experts.à And so, doing expert round-up posts is easier than an interview. In fact, it can give you a lot more visitors as compared to an interview.à Why? Because inà these postsà thereââ¬â¢s a big number of influencers involved, andà so, thereââ¬â¢s also aà big number of audiences involved. Publishing expert round-up postsà gives you huge wins like this: Just check out those social shares! And if you want to push it further, you have to put in some extra effort and convert it into aà monster roundup like the Ahrefs team published. How to rock these types of blog posts, you ask? Find your keyword around which you want to publish your post. This idea must be interesting both to your blog audience and to your experts. Make your list of experts. If you want to feature 30 experts, make a list of 60 experts.à You can find these peopleà by searching for your keyword and reading the posts other influencers have already published on related topics. Start approaching them one by one from less to more popular. Once you get a couple big names committed, you can name drop to entice other experts to join in. Once you receive an expert's response, refine down the list. Publish your postà and askà the experts to share it with their audience. Recommended Reading:à 9 Ways To Reclaim Your Breakthrough Content Ideas From Old Posts 7. Pitch Guest Posts Toà Buildà Your Email List When youââ¬â¢re starting a blog, you have no connections, no followers, and no subscribers. So, you may notà get many visitors for your blog posts. And I can feel the pain because Iââ¬â¢m also suffering from this one. But, this is the time that you should not write on your blog and instead publish for others. Established blogsà have their audience, and you just need to promote your blog in front of them. Indeed, this is the reason Iââ¬â¢m writing for the Blog! In fact, Bufferà built their empire of 100,000 subscribers by posting 150 guest posts (I know itââ¬â¢s huge) in nine months. Also, look at Jon Morrow, founder of Boost Blog Traffic. He built a waiting list of 12,500 customers even before writing a single post on his own blog. Even some smart marketers like Neil Patelà areà publishing two guest posts per weekà after having a massive list of customers- and thatââ¬â¢s not just for audience, but he also does so to look authoritative. And the list is countless. Guest posts haveà a lot of potential and can be a cornerstone in building your blog's audience. Writing aà guest post is a big deal, right? So here's howà you can guest post successfully: Identify the blog to guest post on that is a good fit for what you generally want to talk about and their audience will really care about. Researchà all the posts that are popular onà that site. Find your main idea around the popular posts on that site. Pitch your best threeà ideas and also write a small summary of why they'll be successful. If your idea is accepted, start writing your post, otherwise rinse and repeat the process. Write your post using the writing style that blog prefers. Create a bonus and landing page for the blog's audience to lure them to your own website and convert them into subscribers. Finally, leave the link in your author byline. Recommended Reading: How To Cold Pitch Your Next Guest Blogging Opportunity 25 Lessons From Guest Blogging For The Top Blogs In The World 8.à Cover Case Studies In Your Niche To Build Your Credibility As a reader, I love case studies because they contain a story I can relate to. They contain a person who was having the same problem asà me. And, they make me feel like I am the one for whom the post is written. In fact, case studies work like this because theyà build brand credibility. I mean, just look at theà LeadPages Blog- every 2nd or 3rd post is a case study. And, the interesting thing is they even haveà a link you can click to get featured on their blog. Monthly1kà isà Appsumo's email courseà thatà features four case studies on their landing page. The course helps Appsumo's prospects overcome their problems. And so, Appsumo features them on their homepage to grab more customers. So, if you ever get an email like this: Make the most ofà it! Create a monster post covering the whole story like Ramsay did. Follow these tips to write an awesome case study: Researchà case studies from top blogs in your niche. Make a list of all the questions your prospects are asking. Start your post with the main problem. Show the familiar pain your audience is suffering from. Tell a story using real people and examples. Explain the solution step-by-step with problem, solution, and outcome. Add as much information as you can add. Sprinkle proof and images all over your post. Pro Tip: Case studies have a story, they follow a detailed step-by-step approach to solving the problem, and so, they are invaluable both to reader and to writer. These are typically great forà the bottom of the marketing funnel to teach your readers why they should become your customers. 9. Repurpose, Republish, And Reinvent Old Posts To Get Even More Traffic As time passes, every post grows old and they don'tà benefit your blog as they used to. But, that's not the result you wanted, right? You want to use them again, and you still want to get the same benefit they used to give. This is where your Medium blog comes in- you can use it to republish your post in front of a brand new audience. And that gives you great exposure. Look at Unbounce who got anà extraà 144 views by repostingà an old post on Medium. Similarly, Buffer built a publication in Medium where they regularly repurpose their old content. In fact, Buffer didn't post any new content for oneà month. They just updated old content repurposed it to Medium, Slideshare, and their own blog.à And the results? Less than a 5% dip in traffic. Other than that, they increased LinkedIn followers, Quora views, video views, and Slideshare followers. Sounds pretty good, doesn't it? Another way for reusing old content is to repost ità on Medium while addingà a content upgrade at the bottom like this one: Recommended Reading:à How To Use Content Syndication To Boost Your Subscribers In No Time But what if you're just starting out, or if you don't have any blog posts to repurpose? Repurpose someone else's content. Seriously, look at this: Brian Deanà foundà lots ofà ranking factors posts thatà actually onlyà containedà 110ââ¬â120 of Google'sà 200 ranking factors. Soà he found his golden opportunity to write better content than anyone else and finally published a complete post on the topic himself covering every factor. And, as Brian recalls himself: When I saw that articles thatà didnââ¬â¢t even list all 200 ranking factorsà generated links like this, I realizedà that I had a golden opportunity sitting in my lap. It took 10 gallons of coffee and 20 hours of sitting in front of my laptop (donââ¬â¢t worry, I took bathroom breaks) â⬠¦ â⬠¦but in the end, I had something that was clearly better than anything else out there. And let's notà forget the results he got after that: The shares alone on this post prove its success, though Brian also received tons of backlinks for his hard work. Here's how to implement this type of blog post: Find an old piece of content that has already worked worked well. Maybe it got lots of pageviews, social shares, or comments- you decide. Republishà it on Medium, LinkedIn Publisher, Business2Community, or BizSugar- it all depends on your niche. If you're republishing on Medium, try to submit it to aà Medium publication that has already built their reputation. Repurpose your post into new formats an post it in YouTube, SlideShare, Quora, LinkedIn, and Pinterest.à Embed your bonus material in the original blog post. Don't forget to add more value and make it more visually appealing. No doubt, every word of it is true- because content marketing is all about reaching to your customers. You can't just wait for your audience to find your content, you need to put it in front of their eyes. You need to reach out to them. And by far, the best way to do this is by using these methods: Includeà a post-specific bonus. Contact everyone mentioned in your post through outreach marketing.
